Tour Day 4: Uforia in New Brunswick
The drive from Montreal to New Brunswick was a long one. We arrived in Northampton around 5AM -- it was super foggy out, and I looooove fog. We were fortunate enough to have the Monteith brothers house us for the night. Their house was passed down to them from their grandfather and from what I remember, he had built most (if not all) of it. As soon as we got there we showered and then went straight to sleep.
Once everyone was well rested, the guys made us lunch and it was delicious! The show for the night was actually at the house, so they began to get the basement ready for the show. They had a pretty sweet set-up down there. The bill for the night included Uforia, Gemstonez, and Monteith! Some of the neighbours and family members of the brothers came out to see the show. As usual for the east coast, everyone was so kind and I got to hear some pretty interesting stories that night.
Gemstonez went up first and I thought it was awesome that Nathan and his dad Bill are in the band together - they put on a great show! Sweet guys. Monteith were the last band up, and what a crazy night it was. From the outfits, the yells/screams of Shaunteith, and a set that went on into the early morning. I photographed as much as I could before I passed out on the couch and then eventually went to bed. I heard in the morning though that the party kept going until almost 7AM. I have no idea how they had the energy for it all. When I went downstairs in the morning I found everyone was still there, all the band members had slept over - again, so kind of the Monteith's for having everyone over. We cleaned up and packed up the van again. On our way to Nova Scotia we met up with Dylan's parents, Maxena and Bob - two of the sweetest people I've ever met. They made us sandwiches and brought us all kinds of snacks. So grateful! Next stop: Dartmouth!
